Preprinted forms and letterhead

Preprinted forms and letterhead

Forms and letterhead must be printed with heat-resistant inks that will not melt, vaporize, or release hazardous emissions when subjected to the printer’s fusing temperature of approximately 190° C (374° F) or 0.1 second.
Inks must be nonflammable and should not adversely affect any printer rollers.
Forms and letterhead should be sealed in a moisture-proof wrapping to prevent changes during storage.
Before loading preprinted paper, verify that the ink on the paper is dry. During the fusing process, wet ink can come off of preprinted paper.
When 2-sided (duplex) printing, load preprinted forms and letterhead into tray 2 and tray 3 face-down with the top edge at the back of the tray. To load preprinted forms and letterhead into tray 1, load them face-up with the bottom edge feeding in first.
When 1-sided (simplex) printing, load preprinted forms and letterhead into tray 2 or tray 3 face-up with the top edge of the page at the front of the tray. To load preprinted forms and letterhead into tray 1, place them in the tray with the side to be printed face-down with the bottom edge feeding in first.
